Maxi Kleber @ (knee) ruled out on Friday for Dallas

Dallas Mavericks forward Maximilian Kleber (knee) has been recorded as faulty for Friday's diversion against the Los Angeles Lakers. He'll join Dwight Powell (knee) and Dennis Smith Jr. (wrist) on the damage report. The Mavs are beat up, so Dorian Finney-Smith and Harrison Barnes could be taking a gander at additional minutes on Friday. Dream proprietors should inquire nearer to amusement time for a refresh.

He's chipping away at a non-ensured bargain, so he'll need to gain his keep as the season comes. The inquiry is whether he'll have the capacity to anchor a normal spot in the pivot. With DeAndre Jordan, Dirk Nowitzki, Dwight Powell and Salah Mejri, the vast majority of the minutes at power forward and focus are represented. He'll need to demolish Mejri or potentially Powell for time. What will help is if Kleber can reliably thump down edge shots. He has a functioning amusement with regards to the mid-range and driving diversion. In any case, he needs to toss in a superior level of 3-pointers this season.

Not much was known about the German before his arrival, but he quickly showed that he's more than just somebody who shares the same hometown with Dirk Nowitzki. Kleber averaged 5.4 points and 3.3 rebounds in 16.8 minutes per game. He even threw in the occasional 3-pointer to stretch defenses. He was far more athletic than advertised and surprised some defenders with his runs at the rim. He also had a knack for shot-blocking, which made his defense respectable. Probably could have benefited with more time, but the glut of centers cut into that.

Dwight Powell has been ruled out for Saturday's game versus the Boston Celtics with a knee injury, his third game in a row out. Dorian Finney-Smith will start again with Maxi Kleber seeing more minutes.
Over the Mavs last five games, Kleber is averaging 5.8 points and 2.6 rebounds in 18.2 minutes. Dwight Powell (right knee) is also questionable on Friday, as is Dennis Smith Jr. (wrist). We will have an update on the status of the Dallas players later this evening, but they could be shorthanded at power forward. If so, Dorian Finney-Smith would see and uptick in playing time and Harrison Barnes would see additional minutes
